How to Choose a
Lawn Care Provider

Reasons Why We’re a Better Choice

Anyone can mow a lawn why not choose the cheaper bid?
Lawn maintenance vs Lawn Care. Most lower-priced bids are in the lawn maintenance business which focuses solely on mowing the lawn each visit and not focusing on what YOUR lawn needs in order to be properly cared for in order to THRIVE. Lawn Care providers know how to mow properly, water adequately and fertilize at the right times throughout the year. Be sure to ask for mowing, watering and fertilizing schedules when you meet with someone.

Not asking if they offer licensed irrigation services.
When we are underwater restrictions and you have a problem with your irrigation system most irrigation companies are 10-14 days out in the summer. A lawn care service provider should bring the first signs of lawn stress to your attention and offer a solution as quickly as possible to reduce the amount of damage to your property.

How long have they been in business and what are their existing customers saying about them?
Every year we talk to people who tell us one day their “guy” just quit showing up and they haven’t been able to get a hold of them. PLEASE make sure you do your homework and figure out if the company you are hiring is responsive, reliable, and has been servicing your area for 5 years or more.

Avoid hiring a company before you feel like they have listened to and understood your needs and desires for your property.
This is your home, it should be cared for in a way that makes you proud of your lawn/landscaping, not just another lawn on the crew’s schedule for the day. You can have a great looking lawn and landscape in South Texas, under water restrictions.

You CAN have the lawn you want AND abide by the water restrictions!
